Woohoo! I learnt how to customize/personalize my own NUS email address recently. This is cool to me (I’m a freshman; almost everything is new to me, ok?!). If you are a NUS student, and would like to personalize your NUS email, this post is for you!
In a forum for one of my modules, I noticed a student posting in a thread and she invited the forum participants, who can advise her, to contact her via her personalized NUS email. What do I mean?
After I saw her thread, I decided to post a thread to ask how she did that. I received a reply.

Hi Han Yew,yes you can. Go to https://exchange.nus.edu.sg/fea/ and login first, then follow the instructions on the page accordingly. This service is called Friendly Mail by the way.

I tried to do it right after I read the reply. I went to NUS FriendlyMail and I followed the instruction to login. A pop-up appeared, and I was asked to enter my username and password. Take note:
To set up your FriendlyMail, please login here. At the next “User name:” prompt, type in your NUSNET UserID in the format of:
nusstu\UserID for student or
nusstf\UserID for staff
then enter your password.
Done!
