After importing my Blogger entries into my WordPress 2.5.1, in my domain, I encountered a problem in the layout. My pages on my blog appeared inconsistent.
The first thing I noticed was the sidebars appearing below my posts in my blog’s homepage. I tried to to click on the pages links, and they appeared fine with the sidebars on the right side. Then, I tried to click on the categories individually, and some categories looked fine, while some had the same issue with the homepage.
I went to WordPress forum to search for solutions, but I couldn’t seem to find one. However, I saw somewhere in the forum that similar problem could possibly be triggered by a post’s entry. Perhaps it’s the html within that post. I’m really not sure.
So, I did an experiment. I posted 5 posts with normal entries, i.e. without uncommon html, and then, I published them. Prior to this, I set my homepage to display only 5 posts at most each time. When I refreshed my homepage, it looked normal! The sidebars are at the side, and the posts appeared where it should be.
My guess is, the layout misplacement could well possibly be due to my old posts from Blogger.
Oh well, I think I won’t touch the old Blogger posts I published anymore. I shall move on to post new entries, here on. So, if you happened to click your way into my old posts before 5th June, 2008, pardon me if you encounter layout displacement in my current blog!
